Kunle Remi, born Oyekunle Opeyemi Oluwaremi on October 18, 1988 in Gboko, Benue State, Nigeria
Oyekunle Oluwaremi is from the Ekiti State. His parents names are Engineer Joseph Ibukun Oluwaremi and Mrs. S. Oluwaremi.
His dad was an engineer, while his mum was the owner of a school. Kunle Remi is from the family of six children, they relocated to Ibadan, where he grew up and received the majority of his education.
In Ibadan, Oyo State, he earned his First School Leaving Certificate and West African School Certificate. He then went on to study Fisheries and Wildlife Management at the popular University of Ibadan.
He did not end his studies there, however, because he wanted to pursue a professional acting career.
While at U.I, he was approved to study Tourism and Hospitality Management at Sheffield University in the United Kingdom, and he later moved to the United Kingdom.
Career
Kunle Remi was a youth theatre leader in his church back then in Ibadan, and his exposure to acting motivated his desire to pursue a career as an actor. While in university, he was also involved in acting.
Kunle Remi later honed his acting skills at the New York Film Academy in Los Angeles where he studied filming, acting and directing and graduated in 2015.
Uptill date, he has been delivering world class performances.
After been the winner of the Gulder Ultimate Search episode 7 in 2010, Kunle Remi made his professional acting debut in 2011. His debut lead role was in the Grace Edwin Okon and Stanlee Ohikhuare production Heavy Beauty.
Later in his career, he appeared in several films, TV shows, and stage plays, including Lagos Cougars Reloaded, The Getaway, and Africa Magic’s Forbidden. He has appeared in several Africa Magic and African Magic Yoruba Films.
While chasing his education at the New York Film Academy, Remi worked as a TV personality for the online television program Celebville 360.
At the Academy Awards nomination event in Beverly Hills, California, he gave his debut live performance. In 2021, he played the role of co-host (taskmaster) for Gulder Ultimate Search.
